POINTE CLASSES
Our Open Pointe Classes are designed for dancers looking to develop strength, control, and confidence in their pointe work. We offer two levels to support students at different stages of their pointe training.
Beginner Pointe
Sunday 10.00am - 11.00am (Thomson)
Pre-Requisites:
- Minimum 6 months of prior pointe experience
- Minimum 2 years of consistent ballet training
This class is suitable for dancers who are new to pointe work or building their foundational strength.

Classes begin with ankle strengthening and foot articulation exercises, often done in bare feet or soft shoes to properly warm up the feet. Students will then progress to pointe work at the barre, focusing on stability, alignment, and control.

As strength and confidence develop, students will gradually be introduced to simple centre exercises, such as posés, échappés, courus, and temps liés.
Intermediate Pointe
Tuesday 8.00pm - 9.00pm (Thomson)
Minimum 1-2 years of consistent pointe experience
This class is designed for dancers who are already comfortable and confident en pointe.

Students are expected to be familiar with a full range of pointe exercises, including barre and centre work, as well as more advanced movements such as pirouettes and posé arabesque.

The class functions as a full pointe open class, focusing on refinement, strength, and performance.
